Rivers and Roads is a song by The Head and The Heart. It talks about a state of uncertainly and solitude where you will be away from your family and friends. It was one of my favorite songs when I was in grad school, and it certainly reflects my situation back then.

For those two years I was among Syracuse, Beijing and New York City for school and my on going master’s project. It was the time I felt most occupied yet uncertain and vulnerable. It was when I was most sensitive to light and shadows so I decided to use them to express my feelings and tell stories.
